Exorcising Jack Larson's Artwork
A priest by the name of Juninho Lutero has performed an exorcism over my artwork:
I only noticed this video by chance. Just the other day, I was experiencing bad headaches and was extremely irate for no apparent reason. I took a walk to cool off; I went all the way to the public library and sat before one of the computer terminals to check my email. One of my google news-alerts pointed me to this video and I realized that during the time at which it was being recorded, my headaches were just beginning.
Does this mean anything? I believe so. I'm usually able to know when people are looking at me, talking about me, thinking of me, etc. My intuition is accurate and often specific. I "picked up" on their directed focus, which was inadvertently directed towards me, or so it would seem given that they were “exorcising” my artwork.
As to the content of the video, they suggest that the artwork is Satanic, and is emblematic of a sinister plot to robotize the masses with technology, as part of the Antichrist’s coming rule. If you're familiar with Christian Eschatology, you may already understand about the "Mark of the Beast," the "cashless" society, and the "blasphemous spirit" of the Antichrist which would pervade the end days. The Book of Revelations is very dystopic, and envisions the people of the world enslaved to evil. The notion of a totally enslaved populace is illustrated in more contemporary terms with George Orwell's 1984, in which people are de-individuized, socially atomized, and mentally zombified. The Android itself is analogous to the zombie in many ways, only it is pure robot, as opposed to a Cyborg, which would be a fusion of flesh and machine, i.e. the Terminator or the “Replicants” from Bladerunner.
Frankenstein's Monster is basically a zombie; in fact he is the first one to be created in a laboratory by a scientist. Many assassins or spree killers are often found out to be under the influence of pharmaceuticals—same concept applies. The slave, the zombie, the android, the cyborg---in whichever form they appear, are the same essential character: a sentient being not in possession of its own soul. Zombies are not soulless, per se; their creator owns it! Therefore, these beings are all the same in the sense that someone else is pulling their strings. They have Programmers, Witchdoctors, Masters, etc.
The Gingerbread Man, along with many other "clay figures come to life" stories, is just one more example of the Android concept, albeit in a more primitive fashion. The oven, symbolizing the womb, is the sealed vessel where it is brought to life by mysterious means. Today, the computer laboratory would be the equivalent. Zombies are raised from the grave---and the grave is just another form of "womb"--where the spark of life is reignited.
So the “Zombie Art by Jack Larson” painting might be said to symbolize the ancient merging with the modern; a synthesis of ancient magic and modern technology in order to turn the multitudes into zombies; perhaps not rotting, brain eating zombies, but a more sedate kind of zombie. Considered within the context of eschatology, maybe there is something to it. Perhaps the “zombie apocalypse” just modern interpretation of the future prophesied in the Book of Revelations. The implications are ominous.
---Jack Larson
