According to Noam Chomsky, your fascination with zombies stems from subconscious guilt about living in an "oppressive" country and your fear that some day you might to have to pay for what occurred when America was founded. It's an interesting, but one-sided perspective.
He speaks as though America was unanimously pro-slavery and anti-Indian. His explanation also stems from his belief that capitalism is inherently an oppressive system which can only work by exploiting the world's poor. Personally, I find these white-guilt inducing rants to be bigoted, both ideologically and racially.. Noam Chomsky is a broken record and a myopic bore. Any zombie attempting to swallow his brain matter would choke to death on the cobwebs.
